Phlox Specialists -
Perdita:Miner Bees are one of our native pollinators that are specific as to which plant species they visit. Plox along with asters, sunflowers, and willows provide the necessary nutrients to keep this bee species healthy.8
Deer - This spring I noticed cheery, purple, Prairie Phlox speckled numerous
Rails to Trails bicycle paths; I decided that I would give it a whirl even
though it may never make it to the farmer’s market. It turns out this plant is
very popular with deer, rabbits, groundhogs and several caterpillars.
