Beaver - Since the natural habitat for the Giant Sunflower is wetlands, beavers use stalks to reinforce their dams. This is not first hand knowledge as there are no beavers in our backyard,
Restoration - Considered a minor species for increasing diversity. Noted from the book, A Guide to Native Plants of the New York City Region. Hum? This surprises me. If this were considered a minor species, I need to investigate what a major would be.

Propagation Notes Saw-tooth Sunflower
Seed Sowing - Started seed inside in February, this was way too early! These sunflowers grow very fast and flower the first year. I would suggest waiting until late spring before sowing
