Wholesale inquiries are welcome, please note, since our perennials spend the winter outdoors they are typically not market quality until the end of April beginning of May. This works out well as they are then in sync with our Cleveland, Ohio weather.

Organic Farming Practices

Our Native Plants - We propagate our native Ohio plants using organic farming principles, the majority of which are started from seed. This not only ensures that our stock remains diverse, strong and healthy, it is our passion! We strive to procure Ohio ecotype, as it has a "history" with our region. A significant portion of this seed is harvested at our nursery. Second Season - Our native plants are sold in #300 nursery pots once they are in their second season and have survived an Ohio winter! These are the same pots at the same price our customer have become accustomed to. Plant Price - $6.00 each / Trade gallon - Wholesale pricing available Nursery Pot Dimensions - 6 ¾ in diameter and are 7 ¼ in high, they are considered .73 gal. We have used the term Trade Gallon. Seed Provenance - On our website, located on the bottom of each individual native plant species is a record of where our seed was obtained. Our Secret? - Soil that is teeming with life! Oh, and lots of: pumpkins, leaves, hay and kitchen scraps that our community so generously collects for us! We welcome predatory insects with open arms! With Gratitude to: Marty Coyne - For handling the business aspects of Nodding Onion Gardens. Craig Dahlin - For gifting me with my first website domain Roger Dahlin - For sharing his beautiful pictures and his willingness’ to experiment with our new plants Beth Reis - For kindly sharing her fabulous pictures. Jim Wohl - For his endless encouragement and generously gifting us with beautiful photos. Ken & Paula Korber - For sharing their amazing pictures and encouraging us so many years ago when we were just getting started Webmaster - Beth Coyne

Pesticides, Herbicides and Fungicides
We do not use any type of "cide" which in Latin means "killer" or "the act of killing. Pesticides are designed to eradicate a wide range of plant problems, fungicides kill fungi and herbicides focus on eliminating unwanted plants.
Off to market they go!
